The 3 wire kit with waterproof wireless PTT and rugged Mic shroud/clip is intended for daily patrol use. Once an active situation is declared the acoustic tube of the wire kit can be dis-connected. Either a short, or long C-Adapt lead can be connected to the earphone lead, this can be connected to the 2-pin socket on the 3M Peltor ComTAC headset allowing for situational awareness from the headset whilst still utilising the microphone, and wireless PTT of the 3 wire kit.
